About Dr. Mark Forman

Mark Forman, PhD is a licensed clinical psychologist with twenty-five years experience working with individuals, couples, teens, and families. His text – A Guide to Integral Psychotherapy Complexity, Integration, and Spirituality in Practice – is one of the seminal works in the field of Integral Psychotherapy. 

Dr. Forman is more recently the author of The Monster's Journey: From Trauma to Connection, which is a reimagining of the The Hero's Journey archetype for those who have suffered early childhood trauma. It is a book meant primarily for clients who are trauma survivors.  

Dr. Forman graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Delaware where he studied philosophy and religion. He is a long-term practitioner of yoga, reiki, martial arts, and meditation, particularly in the Hindu Tantric and Yogic Traditions. He spent ten years as a child-and-adolescent psychotherapist and has trained in a wide variety of adult therapeutic settings and with a number of different adult clinical populations as well. His areas of training include Integral-developmental, Jungian, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, multicultural, transpersonal, trauma-based, and attachment-based psychotherapies.  

Dr. Forman is currently available for initial individual adult psychotherapy meetings using secure video conference or phone. Psychotherapy is available for current residents of California. Developmental Consulting is available nationally and internationally. 

His CIT Global Online Training is also available for participants worldwide. 

Dr. Forman is currently accepting new clients and students on a limited basis at this time.
